Alfa Romeo logo 1946 - 1972

When the Italian monarchy was abolished and the country became a republic, the Savoy dynasty bows were exchanged for two wavy lines and the badge diameter was reduced to 54 mm.
In 1950 a new badge in enamelled brass but with the same diameter was introduced. In 1960 the same badge design began to be made of plastic.
Post World War II logo, the fourth edition. The size of the very distinct frame around the logo has been downsized a fraction compared to the previous, third, edition. Nothing else has changed except the "knot" image between "ALFA - ROMEO" and "MILANO" text has been simplified and made back to the previous (golden) shade as on the second edition.
